Arkema to promote a variety of advanced 3D printing materials at AMUG Conf. & Expo in March

- Press release
Corporate - Innovation

Arkema will be exhibiting and presenting technical papers for recent advances in high performance polyamides, PVDF, PEKK and block copolymer photocure resins at the Additive Manufacturers User Group (AMUG) conference in Chicago, IL, March 19-23, 2017.

AMUG’s materials track will feature two papers by Arkema. The first, “Polyamide 11: The High Performance Material of Choice,” delivered by Arnaud Lemaitre, Arkema’s technical polymers development manager, will highlight Arkema’s Invent polyamides for powder bed fusion and specifically discuss the mechanical properties required for manufacturing end-use parts. The second paper, “Block Copolymer Assembly for 3D Printing,” given by William Wolf, technical service engineer for Sartomer, an Arkema subsidiary, will cover the recent developments in the N3xtDimension product line for photo-curable 3D printing materials.

Arkema’s expertise in additive manufacturing continues to grow. As the industry turns from prototyping to short run manufacturing, exciting polymer advances have resulted in improvements in both aesthetics and mechanical performance for the life of manufactured parts. Visit Arkema at booth 11 during the AMUG Expo to learn more about materials such as Rilsan® and Orgasol® polyamides, N3xtDimensionradiation curable resins, Kepstan® PEKK, and new advancements in extrusion printing with Kynar®.

“We are excited to participate and contribute to AMUG again this year,” said Adrien Lapeyre, global market manager for technical polymers powders. “There is no other event quite like AMUG, where we can collaborate with so many industry leaders.”

“Many relationships and innovations have been born from discussions started at previous AMUG meetings and we look forward to continuing that tradition,” said Sumeet Jain, Sartomer’s global director for market development.
