This SUP allows paddlers to glide over the surface of the waves while admiring the underwater universe by day or by night. Ultra performing PAEK (polyaryl ether ketone) resins are typically not easily thermoformed in thick gauge semi-crystalline form. Arkema is excited to introduce new Kepstan® PEKK resins specifically designed to make such parts with extreme performance properties. This opens the door to a wide range of high performance parts such as large-scale galley and interior paneling for aircraft and rail interiors, electrical enclosures, and industrial component trays.
With a proven legacy in high performance materials for medical applications, Arkema now announces the expansion of its technical polymer range dedicated to this market to include select Kynar® PVDF resins.
Effective as of October 1st 2019, or as contract terms allow, Arkema will raise price for its hydrogen peroxide range by 30 €/DMT and for its sodium chlorate by 30€/MT in Europe and for the export markets. These prices adjustments are necessary to cover increasing electricity and labor costs.

Arkema announces a project to acquire Lambson, a company specializing in photoinitiators for curing, a technology meeting the demands of cutting-edge markets such as electronics, 3D printing, digital ink, composites and high performance coatings. These solutions will complement the offering of Sartomer, a global leader in photocure resins, while helping speed up its development in this fast-growing market. This deal will further strengthen the share of specialties in Arkema’s product portfolio, in line with its long-term ambition.
Arkema announces a project for Bostik to acquire Prochimir, a company specializing in high performance thermobonding adhesive films. This acquisition would enable Bostik to broaden its offering of solvent-free thermobonding solutions earmarked for many fast-growing industrial applications in the automotive, construction, textile and medical markets. It would position Bostik among world-leading players in thermobonding films, and is part of Bostik’s strategy to expand through acquisitions targeting leading technologies in a market that remains fragmented.
Arkema today announced that, effective August 1, 2019, Brenntag North America, Inc. will be the primary distributor in the United States for Arkema waterborne resins sold under the Encor®, Celocor®, Snap® and Neocar® trade names. These resins are used to formulate products across multiple industries, including architectural and industrial coatings, adhesives, caulks and sealants, construction products, and traffic markings.
Arkema today announced that, effective October 1, 2019, the company will be consolidating its distribution network in the southern half of the United States for CRAYVALLAC® Additives. Palmer Holland will be responsible for distribution in the southeastern and Peninsula Polymers will be responsible for the southwestern states.
