Arkema Malaysia Thiochemicals, Arkema’s subsidiary in Malaysia, and the Monash University Malaysia (MUM) in Kuala Lumpur have signed a research partnership over 3 years of collaboration during which time MUM researchers will be able to make their resources available to the local Arkema teams. The goal: to develop more efficient biocatalysts for Arkema’s Thiochemicals business.
Following the success of the Sail for Water mission, Arkema is supporting a new NGO, No-Thirst Initiative, to promote universal access to safe drinking water for people living in remote areas of Nepal.
Today was the kickoff meeting of the MMAtwo project. A partner of MMAtwo, a European project for the recycling by depolymerization of PMMA waste to turn it back into raw material, Arkema will also be chairing the project’s executive committee. This role reflects the Group’s desire to promote the recycling of finished products and the circular economy, and is consistent with its commitment in favor of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
May 31st 2018 marks the completion of the final phase in the registration process pursuant to the REACH* regulation. Arkema, through its highly dedicated teams, has registered 148 substances with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) for this final phase. des produits chimiques (ECHA).

At the One Planet Summit convened on 12 December 2017 by Emmanuel Macron in Paris and attended by 27 heads of state, 91 French companies, including Arkema, deliver an assessment of their investments since the historic agreement reached at the 21st Conference of the Parties on climate change held in Paris in 2015. By signing a new agreement, they now reaffirm their commitment to a low carbon industry and economy and to joining forces in changing course to initiate a drastic cut in greenhouse gas emissions around the world.
